The Planetary Dance is a moving mandala open to people of all ages, capacities, and abilities. It involves the simple activities of walking, jogging, running, and pulsing or stillness in many concentric circles, held by the 4 cardinal points. In this way we are all moving as a choir; heart unified to the rhythm of the drum, we become a collective body where every step on the Earth is a prayer for healing.  The power of this community ritual is accentuated through the engagement of each person’s personal intention and prayer.

The workshop will be accompanied by live music from various musicians and percussionists.
As part of this workshop, a Planetary Dance open to the public, facilitated by the trainers and co-led by the trainees will be organized. 
 
- Learn all aspects of the Planetary Dance, its theory, form, preparation, context (Circle the Earth process) and organization.
- Use the RSVP* cycles - created by Lawrence & Anna Halprin.
- Collect and gather the resources and tools to run your own Planetary Dance group. 
- Help create, dance, and direct a first Planetary Dance.

At the end of this 6-day course, participants will receive a certificate of completion based on the successful participation. Enabling them to facilitate the full day of celebrations including the Planetary Dance.
